We promote that family abuse NOT be a "taboo" topic and that we all have a moral responsibility to call out and report abuse and support a victim applying our "3R's".

These simple "3R's" can be a significant step in the primary prevention of any form of abuse and violence to women, men, children and elderly of any global community: 

1. Recognising the signs 
2. Raising our concerns with a victim; never the perpetrator
3. Referring to the appropriate agency for support OR Make the call yourself!

User-centric, Community-driven Virtual Vocational Exchange

Rotary International District 3450 (Hong Kong) has initiated a new form of virtual exchange – VVE Plus – where Rotarians/ Rotaractors/ Interactors may initiate an exchange by forming a community and all exchange activities are self-initiated. A pilot community has been initiated by PDG Kenneth Wong, and Rotarians from Hong Kong, Kampala (Uganda), London, Manila, Melbourne and Singapore joined the pilot community. The first exchange session was held on March 7, 2024 and we have since organized 3 sharing sessions.

PDG Kenneth Wong has been instrumental in getting this program launched and operating around the world. We are exploring possibilities where Change Makers can get involved.

The container for PNG is onsite and further help is needed to continue sorting items, and also packing the items that are ready to load.

Ms Melanie Morrison is a human rights, peace and climate justice advocate with extensive leadership experience in the area of partnerships, strategy, communications and program development. With a Master’s Degree from the University of Sydney, she has led communications and research programs across the corporate, non-profit, government and university sectors. She is an award-winning journalist, researcher and producer for her work in Australia and overseas.  Melanie is on the board of the Addison Road Community Organisation, an organisation dedicated to community building, social, environmental and food justice.
