The Change Makers SHARE shed at Broadford Victoria, June 2025
Our Next Zoom Meeting
8pm Thursday 26th June 2025.
"Open Conversation"
Our next Zoom meeting will cover a range of important topics, including a review and update of our strategic plan, reflections and recommendations from the recent joint board meeting and updates from President Elect Susan and President Kevin.
A key item for discussion is our upcoming Changeover Luncheon, numbers are currently low, so we’ll be asking who is attending to finalise plans. Your input and presence are vital, so please join us for this important and engaging meeting.
Incoming President Susan Benedyka hosted a warm and inspiring New Members Meeting. A standout moment was hearing from current members about what Rotary means to them, personal stories that captured the heart of our club. We also welcomed potential new potential members Sophie, Coral, Juliet, and Annette, who each shared a little about their lives and what drew them to Rotary.
Lisbeth offered a thoughtful and moving 5-minute reflection on her fascinating life journey, while Pieter gave a powerful update on our international projects. His report included highlights from Rice for Cambodia, SHARE, and the ongoing work with the Dambana School in Sri Lanka. One particularly moving moment was hearing about the upcoming publication of the first-ever written dictionary of the Vedda language, spoken by one of the world’s oldest Indigenous peoples in Sri Lanka.
In EarthChatEpisode 21, Jenny Foster joins Marie Gerrard for a thoughtful and inspiring conversation about the SHARE Project, an initiative dedicated to sustainability, community resilience, and practical action. Jenny shares the project's goals, achievements, and the broader vision behind creating more sustainable and connected communities. It’s a great listen for anyone interested in grassroots change and meaningful impact. Tune in at beam.org.au/earthchat and scroll to Episode 21.
