The Mandala Project
I am a lover of the outdoors and the lesson’s discomfort teaches.
I have travelled and hiked extensively throughout Africa, South America, Australia and Asia. I have also explored Nepal, India, Russia, Mongolia, New Zealand, America, the UK and a handful of countries in Europe. My passion is for adventure, mountains, hiking and the people I meet along the way.
Originally from Townsville, I have now lived in North-East Victoria for over 20 years. I married my real-life superhero, and we have three children,…they are hikers too! I run my own leadership development company with a focus on youth, The Mandala Project.
I have a Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation, Level 1 Rites of Passage Training, recently completed a specialisation course in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), and hold current Bronze Medallion, Remote Wilderness First Aid for Instructors, Working with Children Checks and Mental Health First Aid.
I have 4-years’ experience as an outdoor leader and course coordinator with Outward Bound Australia, 10 years (ongoing) as an expedition leader with World Challenge, 12 years in various roles at City of Wodonga, 7 years as a Boarding House parent at Scots School Albury and 7 years as the Managing Director and Program Facilitator at The Mandala Project.
The Mandala Project was created by my husband and I, to deliver leadership development training through experience education. Our mission is to motivate and inspire participants to achieve personal and professional success.
Based in North East Victoria, we deliver programs across Australia and overseas. We offer significant industry experience in developing and leading journey-based outdoor expeditions, designing and facilitating youth leadership programs and building teams. We are experiential educators who care deeply about developing others and are driven by a belief in human potential.
The Mandala Project has successfully delivered more than 110 transformational personal leadership development programs, since 2018. We have positively impacted more than 4,324 participants. Our programs draw on experiential learning, team-based challenges, skills sessions, and inspirational guest speakers to cultivate leadership capacity, emotional intelligence and build resilience. Participants leave feeling empowered, connected and motivated.
