Sydney Peace Foundation

The Sydney Peace Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting universal human rights, social and climate justice and non-violent solutions to conflict. Through our programs, advocacy and annual Sydney Peace Prize, we highlight remarkable stories of hope and courage that inspire us to act for peace with justice. 

Ms Melanie Morrison is a human rights, peace and climate justice advocate with extensive leadership experience in the area of partnerships, strategy, communications and program development. With a Master’s Degree from the University of Sydney, she has led communications and research programs across the corporate, non-profit, government and university sectors. She is an award-winning journalist, researcher and producer for her work in Australia and overseas.  Melanie is on the board of the Addison Road Community Organisation, an organisation dedicated to community building, social, environmental and food justice.
