AGM Recap
The AGM was held with elections, adoption of reports, and approval of constitutional updates. Clark Fletcher was elected President for 2026/27 and Sophie Enders President-Elect for 2027/28.
Zone 8 Convention
Phil, Jenny, and Susan attended the Rotary Zone 8 Conference on the Gold Coast, a key training event for incoming district governors.
Welcome & Introductions
The club welcomed new member Charmaine Hall and guest James Rouel, who works with Susan in Moira Shire and leads
Moira Food Share.
Member Perspectives
Damien, Matt, and Sophie shared why the eClub format works for them, mainly flexibility, global connections, and meaningful project impact. Clark outlined current operational roles and encouraged members to get involved.
Project & Board Updates
Discussions included upcoming funding with
Inner Wheel for Teacher in a Box,
End Trachoma packaging progress, the
Beechworth Street Stall, a joint Sri Lanka 2026 project, potential
RYLA candidate Ava, and a Prospective Members Night (Nov 20).
Membership & Program Updates
Brendan reported
membership at 37, exceeding the target. Jeanette outlined
Teacher in a Box software needs. Jenny updated on clothing and bed donations and volunteer support for sorting items.
Service Projects
Jenny shared updates on
SHARE working bees and a Cambodian water/toilet project. Laurie discussed preparations for the
Rice for Cambodia trip. Kathryn highlighted the upcoming
march against family violence. Philip provided updates on the
Rotary Peace Arboretum and native plantings.
International & Community Projects
Plans continue for the 2026 Sri Lanka project and support for Dambana School’s IT needs. Sandi reported positive outcomes from Indigenous community work. Kathryn updated members on changes to the
16 Days of Activism campaign.
