🌏 From Connection to Impact

What started as a simple club connection has quickly become a powerful example of Rotary in action.

Our member, Rtn Makhdoom Bhatti, is a principal in a small, remote Aboriginal community in the Northern Territory, where access to basic essentials can be a daily challenge. With no local food shop and limited resources, the needs of students and families extend far beyond the classroom.

Through a connection made within our club, District Governor Emma Davis partnered with Makhdoom to support his community. At a recent Rotary conference, members came together for a hands-on service project, packing 50 toiletry packs for his students and their families.

These packs are now on their way to M’Bunghara, offering not just practical support, but care, dignity, and connection.

A reminder that even the smallest conversations can lead to meaningful impact and that together, we truly can do more.

🌏 Supporting Communities

Our club partnered with Families as First Teachers (FaFT) through EndTrachoma to deliver hygiene kits to remote NT families.

Due to flooding, only some families were able to collect their kits at Mt Liebig School, highlighting both the challenges faced and the importance of continuing this support.

🚰 Cambodia Clean Water & Sanitation

A new washroom and toilet block has been built for a refugee camp near Siem Reap, supporting families displaced by conflict along the Thai-Cambodia border.

Access to clean water and private sanitation is providing comfort, dignity, and improved living conditions for those affected.
